CSJ’s Skills to Build report

The Centre for Social Justice’s (CSJ) recent report, ‘Skills to Build: Fixing Britain’s construction workforce crisis’, was published in November 2025 and sets out 26 recommendations to address construction skillsgaps across government departments, education and industry. After engaging with several organisations via roundtables to garner a broad understanding of the sectors’ perspectives and needs, CSJ conclude that construction cannot meet housing and infrastructure demand without rebuilding a domestic skills pipeline.
