The ESG Academy, a JLL sustainability training programme

The ESG Academy, run by JLL, provides sustainability training to help businesses meet environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. The programme equips teams with the knowledge to integrate sustainability into projects and decision-making, ensuring that companies can meet their ESG commitments and reduce their environmental impact.

We launched the UK ESG Academy in 2022 as part of our drive to tackle the green skills gap and to embed sustainability knowledge across JLL via in-person bespoke training.

The three-module course enables our mid-level real estate advisors to deliver the best service we can for clients across the property lifecycle, by providing sustainability guidance as part of our real estate services. After receiving their virtual ‘green medals’, the alumni act as ESG ambassadors for their business line, helping to upskill their team members and applying their new knowledge on client projects.

For JLL’s senior leadership, the ESG Academy offers an in-person ‘Changemakers’ course developed in collaboration with the UK Green Building Council, designed to inspire JLL leaders. The course features external industry speakers and C-suite JLL leaders, helping our colleagues understand the meaning of JLL’s ESG strategy and the opportunity that net zero carbon presents to the real estate industry. Through personal development exercises, storytelling, and impactful discussions, the training empowers individuals to make a difference and take action.
