LSBU Green Skills Hub

The LSBU Green Skills Hub is an innovative project designed to provide training and education in green skills. The hub offers courses in areas such as retrofitting and renewable energy, helping to equip the next generation of workers with the skills they need for the green economy.

The LSBU Green Skills Hub is a project under the Mayor’s Skills Academies, funded by the Greater London Authority. It aims to help the residents of Lewisham, Lambeth, and Southwark find good jobs in the net zero sectors.

The Green skills Hub  promotes training, mentoring, work placements, and job opportunities in various fields such as:

  • Green construction and Retrofitting
  • Green Transportation
  • Renewable energy
  • Waste management and recycling

Our aim is to help you find the right job

We are a project under the Mayor’s Skills Academies, funded by the Greater London Authority. We aim to help residents of Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham find good jobs in the net zero sectors. We promote training, mentoring, work placements, and job opportunities in various fields such as green construction, renewable energy, waste management, and more.

We welcome everyone who is interested in joining the green sectors, but we especially focus on helping diverse groups who face barriers to employment or career progression. These include:

  • Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) people
  • Women
  • Unemployed and economically inactive people
  • People earning less than the London Living Wage
  • Young people aged 16-25
  • Older people aged over 50
  • Lone parents and carers
  • Deaf and disabled people

And to help you in your net zero career: at the LSBU Green Skills Hub, we want to help you find a job in the green sector, and also to help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in it. We work with local training providers and employers to offer you a range of opportunities to upskill yourself for work in the green sector.
